Smooth Groovers Podcast - Season 2 - Episode 26

Published by Dr Groove under 2007, Episode, Season 2

Welcome to the finale episode of Season 2.

This means that for season 3 we’ll be re-vamping the show with new segments and saying good bye to ones we’ve been running for a while! You can listen to the Podcast from i-tunes, Podfeed or by clicking on the play button below:

This weeks newies include:
Seal – Visit his new sites at: http://www.seal.com and http://www.myspace.com/seal
A 3-time Grammy-winning vocalist and songwriter, Seal has sold more than 15 million albums

NicoleScherzinger featuring Will-I-Am - from here new CD ‘Her Name Is Nicole’

Rihanna featuring Neyo – from her latest CD, ‘Good girl gone bad’.

Some brilliant Myspace artist’s this week with:

Chico Mario - Flying Through The Rainbow from the CD entitled, ‘Chico Mario - Isle Of My Dreams’. Be sure to visit his sites at:

http://www.chicomario.de
http://www.magicalsunrise.de
http://www.du-wolle-pizza.de

Chico, from Germany, was given a guitar by his mum for his 4th birthday. His first guitar was the beginning of his musical development. It gave him the chance to explore music and discover his passion for making music. Chico has experimented with different styles of World Music in his music career, which you can hear in his diverse productions and compositions. He collaborated with many artists worldwide from countries like Cuba , Cameroon Italy and the US.

Jamba - I Like You Like That – Please visit him at: http://www.myspace.com/jambajamba and http://www.jamba-jamba.com.

Jamba was born in a small town in Brazil, just outside Sao Paolo. After being introduced to the piano as a child, he promptly set about dedicating his life to the instrument with such a fierce commitment that now, still only in his mid 20s, the New York based singer/songwriter/musician has amassed the kind of credentials seasoned artists twice his age would be proud to have on their resume. There’s even a Jamba fan club on http://www.myspace.com/jambafanclub

Mano Reza - Funk-1 (TheConstructPart2). Please visit him at:
This track is from a conceptual jazz album featureing funky, esoteric instrumentals with recurring themes in multiple styles called, ‘The Acid Jazz Project’. Please visit him at: http://www.myspace.com/acidjazzproject

Mano is a great supporter of independent music. Singer-songwriter Mano was born in D.C. but raised in New York City. In a beginner’s guitar class in high school it became clear to Mano and his instructor that he had a natural ability to play and a good ear for music.

Our featured artist this week is the thrilling: Earl Klugh.

Earl is an American smooth jazz/jazz fusion guitarist and composer born in Detroit, Michigan who normally finger picks a nylon string classical guitar. His influences include Chet Atkins, Bob James, Ray Parker Jr, Wes Montgomery and Laurindo Almeida. Earl has worked with greats such as George Benson, George Shearing, Yusef Lateef, Chick Corea, and many others.

Earl is currently working on an album reportedly ‘an album unlike any he has ever done’. Please have a look on his myspace page for more info. The album is scheduled for release in the spring of 2008.
