This week’s Newies include:

An unreleased track from Michael Jackson’s Thriller Sessions from over 25 years ago and Fergie (a semi-newie!) from her recent CD entitled, The Dutchess. On that latter, check out a new take on the famous Morning Dance.

This week’s MySpace Review section includes:

Patrick Yandall with 200watts
Patrick’s influences include, Larry Carlton,  Pat Metheny, George Benson, Jimi Hendrix,  Jeff Lorber, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page.

E. Bland with Talk To Me
He is an artist who brings you the fresh flavor of neo-soul and the classic comfort of smooth rhythm & blues. With rich sounds, raw lyrics, and REEL MUSIC, as it says on his website. You can also visit him at his Myspace account.

PatrickGriffin with Pony Tails
From a beautiful album entitled Voices from Beyond. This CD is a family tribute to Patrick’s sister, Julie, a mother of two small children and a selfless tender loving person who was the only girl of her siblings. She sadly passed away 1998 in the most terrible and tragic circumstances which you can read about at: http://www.oursisterjulie.com
You can listen to a selection of music from this incredible 10 track album on
http://www.myspace.com/grifmx
. You will also notice that the musicians are family members and get a real inspirational feel from this awesome music.
We read that each piece is inspired by a small slice of Julie’s life and hopefully these small musical notes can help memorialize Julie so others can share in her sincere warm personality. We also read from the site, ‘I feel that their love for Julie has a presence in their music, as it is in their ten year struggle for justice. We also recommend that you visit Patrick’s Website: http://www.grifmusic.com where you can read that ‘The real trouble with reality is that there’s no background music.’ Thanks Patrick and all family members for sending us you wonderful music and we will certainly be playing
another track in the weeks to come.

This week’s Moments and Whatnot’s is from Mike Cooper.
He suggested that we play a track by Peter White as it reminds him of the time when  he went to Spanish guided tour. He was grateful to reach a beach resort after 2 hours of watching the on-board Flamingo videos. Anyway, when he stayed at
a beach resort for a couple of days he remembered that he had this song playing on his ipod making him feel good in the Sun.

This week’s Bring in Back Section includes:

Incognito
Patrice Rushen
George Benson and Al Jarreau check George out at:
http://www.georgebenson.com
and
http://www.myspace.com/georgebensonmusic

Richard Elliot - Please visit Richard at: http://www.richardelliot.com and http://www.myspace.com/richardelliotjazzman
NB That latter track is from Richard’s CD entitled: ‘’Jumpin’ Off’ and you will
notice that it features the awesome talent of Peter White.

We hope you enjoyed this week’s show and look forward to your company soon.

Much love and Thanks for all your
messages and support.

Regards

Dr Groove and Professor Smooth
