INÂ THE FRESH BATCH
Kicking off season four episode 23 we have:
Michael Jackson from Volume 2, known as the EP accompanying the, This is it’ movie.
This is the Orchestra Version of the new single release by Michael Jackson. The documentary is a compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his This Is It shows in London. This Is It was simultaneously at 19 premières around the world – was drawn from over 100 hours of behind-the-scenes clips shot in Los Angeles and showed a multi-million pound spectacular featuring pyrotechnics, complex dance routines and elaborate stage sets.
Bernard Alcorn with Keep On Steppin’Â from the CD A New Day
(Track listing approved by artist)
Our second fresh batch artist is one that is new to us and we’re enormously grateful for the CD’s sent to us. Prof put this one on the player just to checkout one or two tracks before going to bed. He ended up listening to the whole CD enjoying the music, and staying awake simply grooving to the sounds.
Boney James from his latest CD Send one your love
Send One Your Love features stunning covers of songs by Stevie Wonder (the title track), the Stylistics (“Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart),” Barry White (“I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby”), John Klemmer (“Touch”) and James Taylor (“Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight” introducing Atlanta singer, Quinn). The CD also showcases four new James compositions, highlighted by the evocative tune “City of Light,” co-written by keyboardist Tim Carmon, (known for his work with Eric Clapton).
Special Segment: An interview with the wonderful and great Steve Oliver
A weeks back Doc had a chance to meet with Steve. He is absolutely amazing and his music has the power to take you to places! While he’s toured and performed with an exciting list of genre stars and legends Chris Botti, Rippingtons, Michael Franks, Kyle Eastwood and Fourplay. It was Steve’s high profile role in Steve Reid’s band that finally gave him the opportunity to emerge as a budding instrumental star. We follow the interview with a wonderful track from Steve’s Radiant CD.
Here is a summary of Steve’s discography:
