SEASON FIVE BEGINS… and what better way than to start with version of the theme to a popular TV show. A police series that ran for over a decade from the late sixties and starred Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett, – This track was performed by The Ventures. We kick off Season 5’s Discovery section with one of our favourite artists:Â Peter White.
He has been making gr8 albums since the early 90s,.  We love the album.

Heikatsu – The Smooth Mix from the JazzFm double cd compilation ‘ Pure Smooth Jazz’ and the title appears on the 2003 album called ‘Take Me Away’.The band includes the soulful / smooth jazz sound Simon Golding and Paul Mundy. They named the band after the Japanese word for Smooth ..

A SPECIAL EVENT IN THE UNITED STATES.
Here’s an upcoming event, if you’re near the Bay Area of San Fransisco. Vocalist and songwriter Jacqui Naylor plays two shows at Yoshi’s Oakland, January 28, 2010 and will donate half of her concert proceeds to the San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium, where Naylor has lent her voice in support for more than a decade.
Naylor and her band tour internationally, including acclaimed debuts recently at Ronnie Scotts in London, Blue Note in New York, Milan and Tokyo, and Women in Jazz Festival in Germany.
Naylor will be joined by the band she has recorded and toured with for many years,
The San Francisco Domestic Violence Consortium was founded in 1982 and is a network of 17 domestic violence service agencies that come together with the goal of providing high quality, coordinated and comprehensive services to San Francisco’s victims of domestic abuse.
